Marketing trends are important to tap into but lack of originality can pose itself as weak and fimble rather than strong and striking.
There is nothing more awful than being a follower or fan of several brands linked to the same industry and you see similar updates now and again. The same applies to social media management agencies who distribute the same content on several client platforms but on different days.
Why? There is so much content on the web besides from formulating your own which is always so much better.
If you find others using the same or similar straplines or call to actions for engagement and pictures for that matter, come up with something different and better than the last. Always challenge yourself and never cease to believe that you are creative and have imagination. Content capability can stretch as far as you allow it to be. It must be relevant, it must be social and it must add value.
Just think and remember whatever content you post on social media, would you react to it if you saw it in your updates? This can help you measure the potential success of the content you are curating, writing and sharing.
When you think of content, think of the exchange factor and the potential cause and effect it may bring. Add good value and receive engagement by likes, shares and comments. People using social media like different things, seek fun and sheer enjoyment. It’s up to you to understand your audience and give them what they want.
So come on, If you find yourself lacking inspiration and ideas for content on your social media platforms. Don’t pinch, rather take a break and think about your company, its objectives on social media and your value outflow to your audience. If you think well about these three factors you will ignite your creative spark and come up with brilliant and original content.
